A ceramics studio built for real use, shared space, and steady practice.

Three Daughters is a membership-based ceramics studio designed to stay small, functional, and focused.

  • Limited membership

  • Reliable access to wheels and workspace

  • Instruction shaped by over a decade of college-level teaching

  • A studio that respects your time and practice

This is not a drop-in craft space. It’s a place to actually work.

Help Build Three Daughters

3% Cover the Fee

Three Daughters is an independent community ceramics studio coming to Austin, Texas.

The studio is being built by Tommy Holton — a ceramic artist, educator, and current ACC instructor — with the goal of creating a long-term space centered on thoughtful making, excellent teaching, and genuine community.

This will be a small, high-quality studio focused on:

  • wheel throwing and hand-building classes,

  • open studio access for members,

  • workshops and community events,

  • artist growth at every level,

  • and a welcoming environment for both beginners and experienced makers.

Three Daughters is intentionally being built slowly and carefully.

Rather than pursuing a large commercial model, the goal is to create a sustainable studio that can remain rooted in Austin for years to come — a place where people can learn, make, experiment, and build lasting creative relationships.

Your support helps fund:

  • kilns and ventilation,

  • pottery wheels and work tables,

  • shelving and studio buildout,

  • glaze materials and equipment,

  • community programming,

  • and the many startup costs involved in opening an independent ceramics studio.

Every contribution directly helps bring the studio to life.

Thank you for helping build Three Daughters.

  • A heartfelt thank you and your name listed on the studio’s digital founding supporters page.

  • Everything above, plus early updates and behind-the-scenes studio progress photos during the buildout process.

  • Everything above, plus your name included on the physical Founding Supporters wall inside the studio.

  • Everything above, plus an invitation to a special opening celebration and studio preview event.

  • Everything above, plus priority registration access for future workshops and classes during the studio’s first year.

  • Everything above, plus:

    • a private studio tour,

    • a handmade thank-you piece created at Three Daughters,

    • and permanent recognition as a Founding Patron inside the studio.

A Note About Donations

Three Daughters is currently in the studio development and buildout phase. Contributions are used to support startup expenses associated with opening the studio and are not tax-deductible charitable donations.

If you’d like to support independent arts education, community ceramics, and the creation of a long-term creative space in Austin, your contribution truly helps.

Thank you for being part of the beginning of Three Daughters.

Why Join Now ?

Most studios fill up and become hard to use.

We’re doing the opposite.

By limiting membership at the start, we can:

  • Keep the space functional

  • Avoid overcrowding

  • Build a strong studio culture from day one

Once the first 30 spots are filled, pricing and availability will change.

Classes

In addition to membership, we offer small, focused classes:

  • 6-week sessions

  • Wheel throwing + handbuilding

  • Taught with the same attention to process and material

Members receive priority access.
